Evaluations and Therapy may be initiated by self-referral, agency referral, or physician referral.
A typical admission criteria for treatment may include a significant delay or deviation (one standard deviation, or more, below the mean score on a standardized measure) in any of the communication features above. Achievement of age-level skills or functional levels would be appropriate discharge criteria.

Fee Schedule (effective 11/1/2023):
Evaluations: $330.00 (includes results review and printed report)
Therapy Sessions: $120.00 per 45-minute session (center-based services)
Payment for services is collected at the time of service by Cash, Check, Venmo or Credit / Debit Card.
Checks can be made payable to Goepfert Speech Associates, LLC (regardless of providing therapist).
Medical Health Insurance participation includes Highmark Blue Shield PPO plans and UPMC Health Plan. Outside of these plans, the services are considered to be Private Pay and provided as a non-participating provider. However, you may be able to submit your paid receipt (using a Subscriber-Submitted Claim Form) to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
You are strongly encouraged to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about the extent to which speech evaluation and therapy services are covered under your plan, if you have a copay, co-insurance or deductible payment.
It is very important that you let us know if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA)
or a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA),
as it is possible that funds within your account (as available) may cover the fees.
