Just wanted to take a minute to write you and let you know how much we ADORE your SLP, Jennifer Ferry.
Not only is she so personable that the boys will NOT let me cancel a speech session. She is able to meet each of them exactly where they are in their learning every time she sees them, and she gets it!
I don’t think my kids ever worked with a Speech Therapist who KNOWS teenagers or who works on more than articulation issues when they are way past that and now have real-life LANGUAGE issues that affect their schoolwork and ultimately their lives as they become more independent.
I am a secondary-level reading specialist and could NEVER get our sons to understand what they’ve read. Jennifer has given them so many strategies using their own content material. Last night, my 16 year old, asked (for the first time in his LIFE) “Hey Mom can you get me a really good book to read?” That was a first!
As a reading specialist, I know that by his age, kids have often checked out of trying to gain the ability to comprehend what they read. Not only does Jennifer spark his interest enough to offer him strategies, but again he is asking me to get him a book. A real book - not just the Cliff Notes !
We had to wait awhile on your waiting list in order to have the chance for the boys to work with Jennifer, but she was so very worth the wait that I can only say hold onto her as long as you can. I speak as both a teacher and a mom when I say she is truly a gifted educator and speech therapist.
Thanks for looking out for us Gayle. If only Jennifer would go to college with them now!

Since starting services with Goepfert Speech Associates last spring, our son has made enormous progress regarding speech. The level of professionalism, flexibility, and communication has made all the difference. My son, a recent high school grad, has had speech/language issues since he was 2 years old and qualified for early intervention. And, while the first thing we often notice with speech issues is a child’s articulation, my son had more-involved language issues. That is where Gayle and her group made the difference for us!
Sure, it took him years before he could say “french fry” correctly, but understanding words and how they are used was so much bigger. Most speech therapists, who work with school-aged kids, are focused on how to PRONOUNCE words, but once he was 7 or 8 years old, my son had that part down. He needed someone to focus on his inability to use and process language. We looked for someone who worked with older kids for such a long time, and finally, our speech therapist from Gayle’s group knew exactly what he needed!
My son learned how to use, understand, and build on words needed to understand his college-prep school work, and now (he was only dismissed from speech a few weeks ago…so he’s been at it for 16 years), he holds a better conversation than I can; and no one could even imagine that he has a language-related disability.
As a parent, I didn’t see constant progress; it was more in chunks, but it was big. It makes sense too; kids have to learn something and apply it, and that takes time. And my son, who was hesitant like any kid at first, is the one who ultimately saw his own progress and kept going.
Finally, this fall our son, with his auditory processing and language-related disability, will attend Penn State; and I am certain that Gayle and her therapists contributed largely to his high school success. He is living proof of your wonderful work! Thanks so much!

"I had been having an issue with my speech for a long time, but did not notice it until recently. I tended to speak very fast until the point that I would stumble over my words or even leave out letters in words. At that point, I decided wanted to seek help with improving my speech, so I decided to attend speech therapy for help. When I started, I had no confidence. I thought my speech would never improve. So I attended speech lessons for a couple of months and I could see the difference in my speech. With all of the tools that were given to me with improving my speech, my speech is amazing now. I have confidence now and I don’t feel anxious when I speak to people like how I used to. With the help of Goepfert Speech Associates, I have built up my confidence when it come to my speech and I have come such a long way because of the help that I was getting. I would recommend anyone that may need assistance with their speech to go to Goepfert Speech Associates!

2018-My son and I have worked with MANY therapists over the last two years! Jennifer is hands down one of our favorite people to work with! Jennifer is extremely knowledgeable and professional and by far my favorite speech therapist to work with! She is enthusiastic, personable, kind and compassionate. She is always able to explain things to me in detail and in a way that I can understand. She has easily identified our son’s areas of strength and weakness and addressed our sessions together to meet his needs to the fullest. She is knowledgeable and understanding of Tommy’s disabilities and always teaches him in a way that is best suited for his needs and learning style. Jennifer, hands down, deserves 10/10 scores across the board in all areas! We have never worked with a therapist who has been so proud of his growth and progression and even sees small/minimal accomplishments as reasons to celebrate!

Ariana explained goals for Collin's treatment and has asked me to help with the facilitation of the PECS protocol. She asks open ended questions to seek answers on how to better help Collin learn new speech techniques.
…She is open to changing her technique to fit Collin's learning style. With her guidance and help, I have learned how to perform the PECS trials with Collin. Ariana keeps me and the team informed on how to increase the steps of PECS, as Collin progresses in the PECS protocol.
….Ariana is well versed in using and teaching the PECS method. I am impressed with her skill and level of expertise…. She knows the protocol very well.

Ariana explained goals for Collin's treatment and has asked me to help with the facilitation of the PECS protocol. She asks open ended questions to seek answers on how to better help Collin learn new speech techniques.
…She is open to changing her technique to fit Collin's learning style. With her guidance and help, I have learned how to perform the PECS trials with Collin. Ariana keeps me and the team informed on how to increase the steps of PECS, as Collin progresses in the PECS protocol.
….Ariana is well versed in using and teaching the PECS method. I am impressed with her skill and level of expertise…. She knows the protocol very well.

My daughters have both received speech services from Gayle Goepfert. One for a period of 4 years and the other for 2 years.
Gayle did an amazing job working with my daughters. Both girls made excellent progress with Gayle in both communication skills and in the ability to focus for a 45 minute work session. She is terrific at making a session fun and paced appropriately to keep their attention. She was also very willing to work with my daughters' other therapists to ensure consistency across home and school environments. I would highly recommend Gayle.
